Thinking Lean

Course Description

Improve your capacity to get things done within the roll of a dice. You can get more done, save more money and improve the quality of your products without spending a dime!

This simulation is designed to give each participant an experiential understanding of the effects of changes in the workplace. Participants test which changes work best: increased inventory, overtime, pull vs. push system, large and small batches, balanced workloads and more. It positions the participants to manage their own work in such a way as to create more capacity, reduce cost and improve the quality of their product. The course is highly interactive and designed to be applied to real world issues at its completion.

Course Objectives

  • Introduce 10 lean tools that can be applied to any business situation.
  • Define business problems so that use of an organization's internal problem solving process is easy and clear.
  • Learn the key steps of lean methodology
  • Learn the benefits of using visual management in the workplace
  • Discover efficiency gains associated with an organized workplace
  • Use of measurement in the improvement process
