Ethical conduct by all employees is essential for a business to succeed and prosper. The main objective of this session is to create awareness of ethical issues in business and ensure that you always know the ethical course of action to take on the job. By the time this session is over, you should be able to recognize the importance of business ethics, understand the requirements of the law and our ethics policy, identify ethical problems on the job, and make ethical decisions.
Integrity and scruples not only keep us out of court and out of prison, but they are good for business. One study found that companies making "an explicit commitment to doing business ethically" have produced profit/turnover ratios at 18% higher than those without a similar commitment. Conversely, a bad reputation can ruin a business.

This course is designed for anyone interested in learning more about professional ethics.
The aim of this course is to provide the philosophical skills and knowledge necessary to identify and think critically about ethical questions, whether abstract (e.g., what makes an action wrong) or concrete (e.g., is it wrong to do X?).

Audit option: Students have the option to audit a course they have already attended at no charge within one academic year. Interested students must notify the ProDev office requesting to audit a course a minimum of 10 business days prior to the course start date to ensure there is enough seating. Audit students are responsible for their own parking and lunches. New materials will not be provided.
Corporate, Custom Availability: Can be custom-tailored to the needs of your organization to provide skills your workforce can apply immediately as a corporate training if requested.
No refunds will be issued if notification is not received seven business days prior to the first day of class. Registrants who cancel will receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee, if we receive written notification a minimum of seven business days prior to the first day of class.
