Course Description

Being an administrative/executive Assistant is an important role that requires a special set of skills. Whether you are monitoring a boss's schedules, arranging a business travel, taking minutes in a board meeting, or preparing important files all should be done with a high degree of accuracy, transparency, and confidentiality. Being trustful, reliable and discrete are some of the most important characteristics for an executive assistant.

Our Administrative Assistant Certificate program will show learners what it takes to be a very effective & efficient personal assistant. Students will learn how to effectively manage busy managers' schedules, organize meetings, and even how to be a smart gatekeeper. Being an personal/administrative/executive assistant takes a special skill set and this course will provide learners with the essential tools.

The certificate program will tackle the topics that are of common interest to administrative assistants such as: administrative assistant job description, administrative assistant duties, administrative assistant job, administrative assistant skills list, administrative assistant day, administrative assistant training & administrative assistant skills, etc. It integrates the software applications skills they have learned previously, business communication skills, critical thinking, and concepts and activities that address the workplace environment, customer service, mail, travel, meetings, and events, records management; Students take this course because they'll be entering the workforce as administrative professionals and need to learn about office procedures, communication styles, financial factors and methods, meeting preparation, and office technology among other topics.

Audit option: Students have the option to audit a course they have already attended at no charge within one academic year. Interested students must notify the ProDev office requesting to audit a course a minimum of 10 business days prior to the course start date to ensure there is enough seating. Audit students are responsible for their own parking and lunches. New materials will not be provided.

Corporate, Custom Availability: Can be custom-tailored to the needs of your organization to provide skills your workforce can apply immediately as a corporate training if requested.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued if notification is not received seven business days prior to the first day of class. Registrants who cancel will receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee, if we receive written notification a minimum of seven business days prior to the first day of class.
