Jacob Zapolnik is the Program Director for Continuous Improvement at Marymount Hospital with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Jacob has more than 13 years of experience as an effective leader and change agent across several industries.
Jacob specializes in organizational alignment and operational excellence through the design and implementation of processes that catalyze organizational change. He has extensive experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring effectiveness of strategic plans for mid to large size organizations. Jacob focuses on the use of continual process improvement in order to meet the goals of the organization. He applies Lean Systems and Six Sigma techniques to design, develop, and implement successful business solutions. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, process analysis and design, and organizational excellence.
Jacob Zapolnik started his career as a facility engineer (AEE). He managed automation and improvement projects before spending two full years in a leadership development program. In this program, he learned to build individual capability and develop sustainable programs using shared leadership principles. Jacob then completed his master’s degree in Business Administration and took a leadership role with the company. From there, Jacob studied Lean and Six Sigma principles and techniques that were ultimately adopted as daily habits resulting in the journey for operational excellence.
