Entrepreneur's Momentum: Lessons in Building your Idea Into a Business Part 1
Being an entrepreneur is an incredible growing experience that can be best described by someone who is an entrepreneur. Speaking with hundreds of people who want to start a business and confused on how to start is the genesis for this idea. There is good content that exists for well-funded start-ups or established markets, however a lack of good guidance for early stage ideas.
Each student is required to be prepared to start the class with either a business in early its stages or have an idea for a business they plan to pursue.
Part 1: This class guides the student in the first 3- 6 months of their business idea covering the immediate typical required steps which are usually low cost, quick results. The steps will guide the business in several go-no go phases.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Know contract engineering
- Share equity
- Know the expectations for cost and looks for prototypes
- Create a business plan
- Name their company
- Understand investor presentation
- Network properly
- Select an investor
- Understand NDA
- Assign intellectual property to business
- Know time management tricks
- Understand where to start

- Understand moonlighting
- Know information about office space and rental

Audit option: Students have the option to audit a course they have already attended at no charge within one academic year. Interested students must notify the ProDev office requesting to audit a course a minimum of 10 business days prior to the course start date to ensure there is enough seating. Audit students are responsible for their own parking and lunches. New materials will not be provided.
Corporate, Custom Availability: Can be custom-tailored to the needs of your organization to provide skills your workforce can apply immediately as a corporate training if requested.
No refunds will be issued if notification is not received seven business days prior to the first day of class. Registrants who cancel will receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee, if we receive written notification a minimum of seven business days prior to the first day of class.
