Appreciation in the Workplace
The Appreciation at Work course provides evidence that most people do not feel appreciated at work and outlines the many organizational problems this causes. It proceeds to share the 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace model which tackles the root causes of the problem. Participants use the 5 Languages of Appreciation assessment tool and learn about implementing a strong culture of appreciation in their organizations.
Increasing employee job satisfaction, attendance, tenure, and productivity is easy and economical with The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace model. This course equips organizational leaders, managers, supervisors, and HR professionals to implement an easy and economical approach to enhancing employee morale and, in turn, strengthen the organization’s bottom line.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Use recent statistics to illustrate the current lack of employee appreciation in the workplace
- List the negative impacts in the workplace when employees do not feel appreciated
- State and explain the 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace
- State their own most and least preferred language of appreciation
- Determine the most and least preferred languages of their workplace colleagues
- Decide whether to implement the 5 Languages of Appreciation in their workplace

Audit option: Students have the option to audit a course they have already attended at no charge within one academic year. Interested students must notify the ProDev office requesting to audit a course a minimum of 10 business days prior to the course start date to ensure there is enough seating. Audit students are responsible for their own parking and lunches. New materials will not be provided.
Corporate, Custom Availability: Can be custom-tailored to the needs of your organization to provide skills your workforce can apply immediately as a corporate training if requested.
No refunds will be issued if notification is not received seven business days prior to the first day of class. Registrants who cancel will receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee, if we receive written notification a minimum of seven business days prior to the first day of class.
